JUNGLE ISLAND

Previously known as “Parrot Jungle Island” and now named “Jungle Island” is a sixty million dollar botanical garden, and wild animal and bird sanctuary with food, beverage and banquet facilities. The name change reflects the expansion of attractions at the property from primarily birds and parrots to a wide range of bird, animal and plant life. The property is situated on 16.11 upland acres and 2.5 acres of submerged land, totaling 18.61 acres, on Watson Island in Miami, Miami Dade County, Florida. The improvements include a main building housing a ticket office, café, gift shop, administrative offices, an extensive meeting and 1000 person banquet facilities; a 638-space, two level parking garage; three, freestanding, covered amphitheaters; and miscellaneous out-buildings, covered and open walkways, plazas, picnic areas, water courses, bird and animal enclosures.
